Loved the airshow again this year - many thanks to the organisers and visiting pilots/crews.
Given it's a seafront airshow I really would love to a Catalina or a Sunderland at the show one year - I know there aren't many about in Europe now, and there are costs involved sourcing display planes, but it would be an awesome sight as not many sea planes get to be seen at seafront airshows (or if there are then let me know!)
One for thought anyway. Thanks! :o) Jen

It is the 21st Southport Airshow this weekend of the 8th & 9th September, get across if you can as the famous Vulcan bomber is flying.£9 each plus £6 for on site parking.Tight fisters can see plenty on the run in areas but you miss the excellent goings on in the tented village. The Vulcan should be there on the Sunday only. The Reds are there both days.Check out there web page for full details.Rhyl council check it out also to give you a better idea of what to do.

I have to agree with some earlier comments, I only went on Saturday and whilst the display was great and much better than previous years in terms of variety of different air displays, there were too many lengthy breaks - people were leaving not realising there was more to come and if the weather hadn't have been on our side there probably would have been a mass exodus, including people that were aware it hadn't finished. The tornados were amazing and I think a big crowd pleaser. More fast fighter planes if at all possible next year!

Great day out. Family enjoyed every minute. Will be back next year health willing.

Readers....images will be posted on the flypastphotography.com site and hopefully on here in the next few days.

good show but the lengthy breaks between some of the displays, namely the singleton hawk and the next display on the saturday was too long. a lot of people were leaving after the hawk demo thinking it was all over (including me) it wasnt until I got home that I realised I had left before the end

Dear all
Many thanks for your comments regarding the successful Air Show last weekend. Please find below a copy of a press release we issued to the media. We are already busy planning for next year's event and would like to set the record straight on the rumour that Conwy County Borough Council are organising their own event. The Council have confirmed to us that this is not the case.
Many thanks
Gareth Watson
Press Office
Organisers of the annual Rhyl Air Show have hailed the weekend’s event as a great success.
An estimated 130,000 visitors came to the seaside resort on Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 July to witness the aviation extravaganza.
The event kicked off on Saturday with a display from the world- renowned Red Arrows team, followed by demonstrations from a Spiftire, Tutor, Hawk, Kingair, Red Hawks, Extra , The Blades and Tornado throughout the weekend.
There was also a display out at sea from the RAF Search and Rescue Team.
On Saturday, Canon John Glover of Rhyl was honoured for his commitment to community life in Rhyl by being the Guest of Honour. Canon Glover is due to retire next year.
Sian Davies, Denbighshire County Council's Events Manager, said: 'We were extremely delighted that so many people came to support this year’s event.
“We had an impressive line up of aircrafts to entertain the crowds and the weather certainly played its part.
“We would like to thank the RAF Association and Rhyl Town Council for their support. This year’s event was certainly one to be remembered.”

I had two fantastic days at RHYL airshow. The flying displays were exellent, and the shedule brilliant. I have attended AIRSHOWS all over GB and many in USA , Australia and other locations in the world, but the thrill of seeing an AIRSHOW in my own place of birth was amazing. THANK YOU to all involved in this show as I am well aware of all the work and planning that has to take place to arrange displays such as this event. I have heard rumours that this may be the last time we in N.Wales see such an event due to council costs-- I sincerly hope that these rumours are untrue and would love to see a Denbighshire Council statement to clarify the facts as such.

Had a fantastic weekend, yet again another brilliant Airshow, even better than last year! It was lovely to see so many people in Rhyl enjoying themselves, and so many children playing on the beach. Thank you and well done to everyone involved in organising this wonderful free event, and please continue to do many more.

Travelled from the Midlands on Saturday and watched a brilliant Air Display. However very disappointed in the parking organisation. We parked at the Leisure Centre and were told a shuttle bus would pick us up at 9.0. We waited until 10.0 but saw and heard nothing in that time. We didn't know if the bus had broken down, if the driver hadn't turned up or indeed if there was even going to be a bus! So we walked it! Carrying chairs, rucksacks, bags, coats etc. And we also walked it back because we still didn't know if the bus was running. In fact about 8 of us walked it back to the Leisure Centre and when we got there, a DOUBLE DECKER bus stopped outside and only 3 people got off, and one of those was a baby!!! And we paid £3 for that! Needless to say I am writing a letter of complaint to the powers that be. One of the most annoying things was that nobody at the Leisure Centre could contact whoever was in charge to find out what the problem was - and in this modern day of electronic gadgets it beggars belief.

What a fantastic two days we've all had, an absolutely amazing air show. We can't decide which was our best act they were all so good, but we were blown away by the Tornados. Really looking forward to next years show.

Absolutely awesome two days!!! Thoroughly enjoyed both days. Was a little disappointed about the weather being unsuitable for the Falcons, but seeing the Tornados again made up for it!! Brilliant family days out!!! Natalie, Mark and Charlotte xx

P.S Im 37 but i still cant get over that i saw the Red Arrows for the first time in my life! Totally amazing!

What a fantastic afternoon, very well organised and it was great that the air displays were spread out. This gave us time to visit the arena to see the displays and get something to eat without missing any flying. The Tornados were fantastic! We are looking forward to seeing the flight displays today (Sunday). Well done to everyone involved, a great show especially when it was free. Thank you

What a fantastic day! Travelled down from Manchester and thought it was fantastic. The council should really be commended for holding an airshow for free when there are so few events like this in North Wales. Display this year was superb.

Thanks

can we just say what a fantastic afternoon, the airshow was second to none, the organastion was superb, there was something for everyone from young to mature, the running commentry from the open top bus was very respective to those pilots that have lost there lives both in the far past and very recently, also very imformative and educational it was a great priviledge to be part of the the audience of this superb show, we will definately be paying a trip back tomorrow, many thanks to all the helpers and organisers

Did not the know the show was this weekend sadly, only found out a few mins ago when I heared the red arrows fly over the house. I will be going tomorrow though :). I am dissapointed the Lancaster is not there and I am not complaining (@mike) merely stating my appreciation for this beautiful craft. Funny how people get on here and tell other people what they can say and cannot say. It's a comment board not a debating forum. Anyway, looking forward to this tomorrow :).

i loved the air show last year and i am hoping to come again today thank you for this its a good 4 familys thank you again x
We will be taking photos for the website both days and looking at the weather things are definitely looking up compared to last year !
The line up is getting better every year, hats off to the organisers, and the mere possibility of a USAF KC-135 fly-by is a real coup in itself, plus the noise and power of the GR4 demo.
Should be a great weekend, camera....be prepared !
(Posted on 2012-07-21 07:54:00 by Dave & Caz)
The times i heard for the tornado gr4 demo are 4 30 sat and 4 10 provisionaly on sunday. Hope this helps..if its wrong dont shoot the messenger..Bob..
The best place to check times for the Red Arrows to fly is on their website on the 'Team News' page. They post up to date imformation on the exact times they are flying, leaving the airbase, then arriving at the airport, then displaying, then arriving bacak ot the airport etc. and it is always very accurate.
They usually either start an airshow or are the finale. On Saturday 21st July, they are also displaying at Sunderland, so will be displaying at Rhyl at 12:30pm and then going on to display at sunderland later in the afternoon.
They are not flying at Rhyl on Sunday.
Hope that helps. I am just a visitor who will hopefully be there tomorrow to phtoograph them.
I agree, I'm limited on how long I can stay and going especially for the GR4, we need a timetable!!! Somebody must know?? Very frustrating!
(Posted on 2012-07-20 20:46:00 by J Tatterson)
Please can you publish a timetable of events...the website is VERY basic with little information

will red arrows be showing on sunday ??? im working saturday ? please say yes !!

Does anyone know any scanner frequencies for the show?
(Posted on 2012-07-20 16:38:00 by spratt)
The weather forecast is superb for the weekend so everyone get out there and enjoy it and stop moaning about no lancaster etc, after all we are getting the red arrows and should feel grateful for that in itself. Why do people complain when something like this is completely free? I go to the Southport Airshow every year irts overcrowded and not much change out of £50.00 for the day
(Posted on 2012-07-20 15:01:00 by mike, rhyl)
flying display starts at 12.30pm both days, but get there earlier for a good spot.

Does anyone else known the flying order and times please
I am only able to get away from work for the odd hour on both days, i have seen the red arrows before, it the others i would like to see

Hi i am travelling from wigan early saturday morning and was just wondering if anyone knew what time everything starts as we dont want to miss anything.
thanx
(Posted on 2012-07-20 08:12:00 by Deborah)
Why are so many worried about the time the reds are on?
theres more to the show than just the reds,
get here early and enjoy youselves and spend your cash locally other wise it will end up like southport fenced off and ripped off to see there air show,
theres a lot of hard work that goes into it and its a fun day out better still stay over and do the two days,
and dont forget to drop a few bob in the buckets.

can't wait for the airshow, still amazes me that this is a free event, i grew up near Biggin Hill in Kent and it used to cost a small fortune to get in the show there (so much so that it no longer runs i believe) so thank you to all involved with the display....heres to sunny weather and a picnic on the beach while watching the show!! cheers x

Hi, Does anybody know what time the Red Arrows are flying on Saturday. Thanks
(Posted on 2012-07-19 11:58:00 by Katie)
Cannot believe someone is moaning about the lack of a display by the Lancaster.. As already stated, it's busy that day in Sunderland and is far too precious to travel to both... Wind your neck in!!! I'm a seasoned airshow veteran and happen to think the Rhyl air show just gets better and better each year, and to include the GR4 will certainly wake a few people up!! One thing I would like clarifying though, you say 'a' GR4 when the role demo has Rhyl in it's diary, ie 2 Tornados... Is is the role demo, or just one? Thanks..

Hi Gareth,
we have worked on the assumption that you don't need us this year for the photos ? Anyway, Caz started her new job recently on the Police Helicopter so she can't commit to both days, but I should be free.
I will be taking a few snaps from somewhere along the front anyway, and will post any decent ones on here.
Hope it all goes well and the weather stays reasonably fine !

Stevie - at about £14,000 for one display i think the last msg from gareth sums it up !

What about inviting The Vulcan as this would excite the crowd.
(Posted on 2012-07-15 10:29:00 by Stevie)
Kevin,
Unfortunately the lancaster is at Sunderland airshow the same week-end. We had the Lancaster the first two years of Rhyl airshow and were unable to get it this year. We however do have a fantastic line up this year with some great acts - a Tornado GR4 being one of them.
Another issue that dictates what we can have is funding. Its all well people saying that we should get this and get that aircraft, but who is going to pay for it? remember we are putting this on as a free event to the public. We could put more acts on if say we closed the prom completely and charged people to come onto the prom- something that would cause an outroar if we did.
What-ever the line up it will be a great weekend as long as the weather holds out for us.
kind regards

they have now updated the page with the display times and things the air displays begin at 12.30pm on the saturday and sunday, its best to arrive about 45 minutes to an hour before the actual air displays begin so you can get parked up ive been before and they normally open the big overflow field near the sun centre on the front for parking on the airshow days so theres always plenty of parking, i'll be there this year aswell really looking forward to it!!

Just waiting for times of the show so I know when to arrive.
Is there any information on the time of the show yet please and will there be a park and ride facility on the day or is there plenty of parking near the show area?

Hi. does anyone know the date airshow is going to be in rhyl this year? Thanks
(Posted on 2012-01-16 14:14:00 by Ang)
Hello all,
well the airshow seems like a distant memory already in some ways, but we need to keep the interest and momentum going to ensure an even bigger and better show in 2012.
On a sad note, I'm sure you will all join in sending our deepest condolences to the family of the late Flt Lt John Egging, 'Red 4', who died tragically shortly after partaking in yet another breathtaking display down in Bournemouth.
With that in mind, if anyone wants to order prints of our Red Arrows photos from the show in rhyl, as featured on this site, the full collection of 94 photos is available on photobox galleries :
http://www.photoboxgallery.com/flypastphotography
ANY profit from these photos will go to the RAF Benevolent Fund as a mark of respect to John and his family.
Whatever you decide to do, we hope you enjoyed the photographs.

Dean,
photos should be on by the weekend, however for a sneak preview, follow the link to our website and look in the 'latest uploads' or 'red arrows' albums, some photos in there to keep you going ! We took well over 1700 photos between us over two days so it's taken hours and hours to edit, sort and process them. I'm getting the discs to Gareth on Friday and hopefully he can start uploading to this site. I know he is very busy.
If anyone else has uploading rights to the site and needs the photos sooner, let us know by e-mail through our site.

Hi,
Thanks 1340rhyl /Gareth for your reply, totally understand about the limited budget - hopefully sponsors will see what potential revenue and advertising this show holds and will come forward for future shows, the huge crowds on Sunday show the potential! but thanks for a great show this year!

Gareth,
just in case you didn't get my message, nearly all the photos are ready and you can have them today if you need them, either by e-mail or via photobucket etc. If you don't need them till Wednesday night then we'll stick to plan A. Some nice photos despite the conditions on day 1. About 7 hours sleep over the last 3 nights means they better be up to scratch ! Hopefully people will think they were worth the wait.

well done to all involved i travelled from the midlands by train but it was well worth it for a free airshow!
good to see the spit & hurrican as a replacment for the lanc and excellent display on both days by the JP ,may be next year the vulcan or team viper as well .
I understand the cost but i am sure that this would attract a much larger interest .
Also try a pr company to push the advertising it would pay off.
once again
WELL DONE AAAA++++

(Posted on 2011-08-08 19:42:00 by margaret wardley)
Well done to the organisers, for another good effort - despite the weather it went very well. Thought the RAF did well, Red Arrows superb as usual, the late change to the Spitfire & Hurricane were a bonus, acrobatics, parachute dispalys good. A great pity Tony Hodgsons Dragon Spitfire wasn't available - he should be the 'star local attraction'.
There is, however, always room for improvement and my comments would include more catering stands & trade stands (gives people something to do if the displays are time/weather delayed), more advertisiing/more uptodate web info (local paper hardly mentioned it, it would also help people to find parking sites etc). At a higher level is there a need to employ a professional organising firm - OK would cost - but might ease the burden on DCC and volunteers, provide access to a greater number of sponsers - just a thought for going forward. Anyway as a resident I'll be back next year !

Hi RoseB,
Thanks for the good feed back - just one thing about the number of aircraft - we had a limited budget this year and rely on sposors of which we struggled with this year lets hope we do better with them next year . Yes it would be nice to get the Vulcan to the show however at around £14,000 per display we would need to really get help.
regards
Gareth

Excellant Show - first time here and despite the soaking on Saturday it was a great weekend - especially considering its free! well impressed with Sea King / Lifeboat display - great floor display also, really need to improve PA system along seafront, and definately try to get more aircraft - the Vulcan would pull a huge crowd - more promotion and it could be that much bigger and better!

Well done for a great show, weather considered. Advice to future visitors about parking, arrive early and get a good spot because it was a nightmare with idiots parking where ever it suited them, hence all the tickets mentioned earlier,(sorry but no sympathy ) I parked as close to the edge of a drop curb so as to ensure room to get the pram and such out of the boot. What I hadn`t counted on was the "Blue badge means I can park where I want and stuff you brigade"
When I came back I was so blocked in with a blue badge in front and behind with bareley inches in either end ! I was completely trapped in. One had parked in front of the drop curb with total disregard for wheel chair users or prams. This resulted in me having to put more money in the car and take my family all the way back to the prom in the pouring rain. Air show 10/10 . Rhyl 1/10 never coming back!

Congratulations on a great day today (Sunday) despite the weather. Excellent displays. I have seen all this talk about a Lock in crowd and charging. Might this be counter productive? The ammount of people who were at the airshoe today was fantastic until you tried to get into a cafefor a meal afterwards or join the queue for a drink. Surley this cannot all be cash that would have been spent in the town today anyway. All these people contributed to the charities , purchased programmes and the went itno town which cannot be a bad thing. So often charges are placed on free events which ruins it for families with a few kiddies or those on low wages. It cannot all be about grab as much as possiblle of the few who can afford it surely?

Thanks Phil W,was not aware of the Airway, cannot comment further about that as no experience at all.Bad parking was purely for the ones who wanted to watch the Reds and leave the area. and not spend in the town but well worth talking about. After seeing that crash at Broughton years ago,you start to understand more about not parking in bad areas etc and we were lucky as the accident took place in the factory grounds so bad parking for fire fighters was no issue.Look forward to your contact.

Disc of images being delivered to Gareth tonight folks, so hopefully on here very soon. Apologies for the delay........................Dave
Some images ready now on the Flypastphotography site ! Just follow the link and go to 'Galleries' and 'Last Uploads'. More to follow and hopefully they will also be on this web site soon.
Dave & Caz
I have to agree with some earlier comments, I only went on Saturday and whilst the display was great and much better than previous years in terms of variety of different air displays, there were too many lengthy breaks - people were leaving not realising there was more to come and if the weather hadn't have been on our side there probably would have been a mass exodus, including people that were aware it hadn't finished. The tornados were amazing and I think a big crowd pleaser. More fast fighter planes if at all possible next year!
Great day out. Family enjoyed every minute. Will be back next year health willing.
Gareth ( ATC ).......I have our images ready on disc, my mobile phone is U/S at the moment so drop us a quick e-mail via the flypast site ( contact me tab ) and we can sort out how to get the disc to you, and when. Some nice photos in there even if we say so ourselves !
Readers....images will be posted on the flypastphotography.com site and hopefully on here in the next few days.
Dave
good show but the lengthy breaks between some of the displays, namely the singleton hawk and the next display on the saturday was too long. a lot of people were leaving after the hawk demo thinking it was all over (including me) it wasnt until I got home that I realised I had left before the end
Dear all
Many thanks for your comments regarding the successful Air Show last weekend.
Brilliant day out loved every minute
Had a fantastic weekend, yet again another brilliant Airshow, even better than last year! It was lovely to see so many people in Rhyl enjoying themselves, and so many children playing on the beach. Thank you and well done to everyone involved in organising this wonderful free event, and please continue to do many more.
Enjoyed the show very much, as did my children, so well done to all concerned in putting the airshow on and those who took part, loved it!. Had to work on Sunday, unfortunately, but thoroughly enjoyed watching the displays on Saturday!
BRILLIANT! A great show of precise timing with the red arrows. A terrific show all round. Well done everyone involved, esp SIAN.
Well Done to everyone involved - a superb show at a great loaction. Not been to Rhyl for 20 years and have to say the whole townm and sea front is much improved and we wil all certainly be visiting again next year - please organsiers the same again in 2013 ! Plus a couple of Eurofighters next time if possible!!! ( Southport Airshow watch out!)
Had a great day thanks to all who give up there spare time.

What a truly fantastic show yesterday and so nice to see Rhyl buzzing once again. Its the first time ive seen Rhyl like that since i was child back in the early 80's. Me, the missus and our 2 young daughters (aged 7 and 4) had a truly superb day. Thanks to all who organised such a wonderful day.
P.S Im 37 but i still cant get over that i saw the Red Arrows for the first time in my life! Totally amazing!
Fabulous watching the air show again. Loved the Red Arrows, and all the rest. Great weather, quite unexpected after the summer so far, so congratulations to all concerned. Looking forward to next year!
Great show Saturday, thanks.Looking forward to today in this lovely weather.
Hi I was just wondering if there will be a 2013 display asI have been unable to come this year and I am gutted! I love aircraft and will have something to look forward to next year if there is another display, thanks :)
What a fab day yesterday. The organisers should be very proud. Red Arrows were as usual awesome as was the Tornados. Fantastic day for the family. Rhyl prom was also looking lovely.
Display this year was superb.
from abergele went to rhyl saturday great day for me and my boy can't recommend it enough and the air display just gets better and better every year. here's hoping for typhoon next year!!!!
Great show yesterday. One question...On Sunday does the show begin at 12.30 again as stated at one place on the site or later as stated on the actual flying schedule?
Thanks
traveled 100 plus miles from wolverhampton and back to see the show,
and what a fantastic day.. red arrows were brilliant but being that close to the action made the day unreal.. ive paid 20 squid to see what ive seen today for nothing,,,
well done to all involved even down to the stalls and exepitions
10 out of 10
What a fantastic day, so good in fact that i'm gonna do the 68mile round trip again tomorrow xx it was amazing xx
Thank you so much for an amazing day! We all enjoyed it immensely even the 7 young children we had with us, it was so safe, well organised, with a great viewpoint and free, unreal! We will definitely be back. Please pass on our special thank yous to all concerned and to all the very brave pilots in partlicular the stunt plane!!!
Fantastic day, show gets better each year and weather fantastic too.
What a fantastic day. air show was amazing weather brill. sat on beach with my very excited 2 and 4 year olds eating our picnic will definatly be coming again next year.
What a fabulous afternoon, the Red Arrows were amazing as always, loved the heart. Sadly missed the Tornado, although heard it, but hope to catch it tomorrow. Got some great pics of the SAR. Many thanks to everyone involved with putting the whole weekend together, it's greatly appreciated and a weekend to look forward to every year:)
can we just say what a fantastic afternoon, the airshow was second to none, the organastion was superb, there was something for everyone from young to mature, the running commentry from the open top bus was very respective to those pilots that have lost there lives both in the far past and very recently, also very imformative and educational it was a great priviledge to be part of the the audience of this superb show, we will definately be paying a trip back tomorrow, many thanks to all the helpers and organisers
Eamonn and Julie Prestatyn
What great afternoon, eating lunches at Splash Point and watching the displays, Red Arrows were wonderful, and seeing everybody along the promenade was just like the 1960! Superb afternoon, thank you to all for the organisation of the weekend.
Well not to let you all down, will gave a run down later, car parking easy this year.
Just watched the Red Arrows again from our back garden, fantastic as always. The skills they have are brilliant. The wife liked the heart shape they did!!
The times i heard for the tornado gr4 demo are 4 30 sat and 4 10 provisionaly on sunday. Hope this helps..if its wrong dont shoot the messenger..Bob..
http://www.raf.mod.uk/reds/teamnews/index.cfm?storyid=FB1AAFE5-5056-A318-A804620C6D94CDA4
Please can you publish a timetable of events...the website is VERY basic with little information
will red arrows be showing on sunday ??? im working saturday ? please say yes !!
Does anyone know any scanner frequencies for the show?
The weather forecast is superb for the weekend so everyone get out there and enjoy it and stop moaning about no lancaster etc, after all we are getting the red arrows and should feel grateful for that in itself. Why do people complain when something like this is completely free? I go to the Southport Airshow every year irts overcrowded and not much change out of £50.00 for the day
flying display starts at 12.30pm both days, but get there earlier for a good spot.
Thanks for the spitfire time.
Does anyone else known the flying order and times please
I am only able to get away from work for the odd hour on both days, i have seen the red arrows before, it the others i would like to see
cheers
steve
Hi i am travelling from wigan early saturday morning and was just wondering if anyone knew what time everything starts as we dont want to miss anything.
thanx
Why are so many worried about the time the reds are on?
theres more to the show than just the reds,
get here early and enjoy youselves and spend your cash locally other wise it will end up like southport fenced off and ripped off to see there air show,
theres a lot of hard work that goes into it and its a fun day out better still stay over and do the two days,
and dont forget to drop a few bob in the buckets.
Misty
can't wait for the airshow, still amazes me that this is a free event, i grew up near Biggin Hill in Kent and it used to cost a small fortune to get in the show there (so much so that it no longer runs i believe) so thank you to all involved with the display....heres to sunny weather and a picnic on the beach while watching the show!! cheers x
spitfire is at 3pm.
Hi folks
Prev posts have stated the flight times for varies aircraft are now on the site....excuse me but not able to find them.....does anyone know the times or have a link to them
many thanks
steve
does anyone have any timings for the display? i know the red arrows are on at 12.30
Hi, Does anybody know what time the Red Arrows are flying on Saturday. Thanks
Dave
Stevie - at about £14,000 for one display i think the last msg from gareth sums it up !
What about inviting The Vulcan as this would excite the crowd.
Kevin,
Unfortunately the lancaster is at Sunderland airshow the same week-end.

WHY IS THERE NO LANCASTER AGAIN!!!! VERY POOR NOT HAVING IT AS IT ALWAYS MAKES AN AIRSHOW WITH THE ROAR OF THE 4 MERLIN ENGINES AND THIS IS THE 2nd YEAR IT HASN'T BEEN ON THE BILL!!!!
they have now updated the page with the display times and things the air displays begin at 12.30pm on the saturday and sunday, its best to arrive about 45 minutes to an hour before the actual air displays begin so you can get parked up ive been before and they normally open the big overflow field near the sun centre on the front for parking on the airshow days so theres always plenty of parking, i'll be there this year aswell really looking forward to it!!
Anyone know the starting time of the display.
What's the best time to arrive in Rhyl for the show..? I'd guess at least a couple of hours before it starts...anyone know the start time..will there be a programme on sale?
what time does it start on Saturday please???
Just found the parking information on the links on the Where is it page.
Just waiting for times of the show so I know when to arrive.
Thanks for all of your hard work.
Walker
Hi all,
Is there any information on the time of the show yet please and will there be a park and ride facility on the day or is there plenty of parking near the show area?
Many thanks,
Walker
summerfield - my last comment was not aimed at you it was to john - sorry if you thought i was aiming it at you . As far as i am aware the council are just waiting for ther display times to be confirmed.
Thank you for your unhelpful andvise i am able to see but you are not able to read as there are no TIMES attached to this link which is what i asked.
John - Are you not wearing glasses or do you need glasses - there is a big link to the displays for the two day on the homepage - im sure that if i could see it you can - oh no you can't obviously!!!!
Do we have a time table of events for 2012 airshow in Rhyl?
who wants the 2011 gallery?...how about the the line-up for 2012?...
This website really dosent have much information on this years air show.
How can pages still be unfinished when the airshow is next month???
will i be charged to watch
Date details now added
Sgt Atc Culley

Hi. does anyone know the date airshow is going to be in rhyl this year? Thanks
Hello all,
well the airshow seems like a distant memory already in some ways, but we need to keep the interest and momentum going to ensure an even bigger and better show in 2012.
Thanks,
Dave & Caz
spitfire and hurricane ...wow what can i say ..fantastic
Hi thanks for the reply bolar got to say it was a grate day shame about weather but we are in wales :-)
had a lovely day out with family. the red arrows take the cake. the ladies on the breitling were fantastic.
thankyou for a fantastic display
Dean,
photos should be on by the weekend, however for a sneak preview, follow the link to our website and look in the 'latest uploads' or 'red arrows' albums, some photos in there to keep you going ! We took well over 1700 photos between us over two days so it's taken hours and hours to edit, sort and process them. I'm getting the discs to Gareth on Friday and hopefully he can start uploading to this site. I know he is very busy.
If anyone else has uploading rights to the site and needs the photos sooner, let us know by e-mail through our site.

you really need to upload some 2011 photos
sunday airshow was a fab day out and my favorite had to be the red arrows.and a big thanks to DISCO DAVE AKA DAVE THE RAVE. ALSO CANT WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR. SEE YOU ALL THERE. CALLUM BARRY BRIDGE.
Well done to Denbighshire council, Fantastic show and it can only be a good advert for the town. Hope it will be back next year. It was a pleasure for Apollo Bingo to support this show.
Hi,
Thanks 1340rhyl /Gareth for your reply, totally understand about the limited budget - hopefully sponsors will see what potential revenue and advertising this show holds and will come forward for future shows, the huge crowds on Sunday show the potential! but thanks for a great show this year!
RoseB
Gareth,
just in case you didn't get my message, nearly all the photos are ready and you can have them today if you need them, either by e-mail or via photobucket etc. If you don't need them till Wednesday night then we'll stick to plan A. Some nice photos despite the conditions on day 1. About 7 hours sleep over the last 3 nights means they better be up to scratch ! Hopefully people will think they were worth the wait.
Dave & Caz
well done to all involved i travelled from the midlands by train but it was well worth it for a free airshow!
good to see the spit & hurrican as a replacment for the lanc and excellent display on both days by the JP ,may be next year the vulcan or team viper as well .
I understand the cost but i am sure that this would attract a much larger interest .
Also try a pr company to push the advertising it would pay off.
once again
WELL DONE AAAA++++
do you think there will be another airshow in rhyl next year ?? hope so !

At a higher level is there a need to employ a professional organising firm - OK would cost - but might ease the burden on DCC and volunteers, provide access to a greater number of sponsers - just a thought for going forward.
